The equipment used for MDM installations is typically purpose built, but can also be adapted to dry method rigs of the scandinavian type. The rigs have a light foot print and consist of two parts. Part one is the installer, part two is the carrier.
The installer has the rotary and shaft that does the drilling in the ground. The carrier holds up to 20 tons of dry binder (cement) and via computer control, disburses the right amount of binder per linear meter and location during the installation.
The installer carries a water tank and control means for injecting the right amount of water at any given station during the installation of the column.
